Milestone Achievement: We are excited to announce that we have taken a significant step forward in our project. With your invaluable contributions, we have been able to lay the foundation, quite literally, for a safer environment for the children. As part of our efforts to create a secure space for them, we have successfully laid bricks to build a fence encompassing the entire 8-acre area designated for the camp. This milestone marks a crucial advancement in our mission to provide a secure haven for the children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Offline Donations: In addition to the funds raised through our online crowdfunding campaign, we are delighted to share that we have secured significant offline donations totaling $150,000. These donations represent a tremendous boost to our project, allowing us to expedite the construction process. With these additional funds, we are now able to commence the construction of one of the essential buildings within the camp premises. This development marks a pivotal moment in our journey towards realizing our vision of a safe and nurturing environment for the children.
Day Camp Activities: In the meantime, as of the time of this report, we are running a day camp at our current site. We are offering a diverse range of activities to engage and enrich the children's experiences. These activities include crocheting, dance, drumming, catwalking, screen printing, beadwork, and of course, our tech game is on with coding, programming, and graphic design. Additionally, the little ones are enjoying their tablet time, exploring educational content and fostering their creativity through interactive learning tools.
Future Plans: As we celebrate these accomplishments, we remain steadfast in our commitment to the children and their future. Our next steps involve continued fundraising efforts to ensure the completion of the camp infrastructure, including additional buildings, recreational facilities, and educational resources. We are also dedicated to fostering partnerships and collaborations to enhance the overall impact of our project and expand our reach to more underserved communities.
