By Dr Kate Evans | Founder & Director
As we have yet to reach our funding target, we are working hard to secure the remaining funds so that we can order the container for installation as soon as the rainy season is over in May. We have approached some of our longterm funders to see if they will consider filling the gap. One of them is currenlty considering the proposal and we hope to hear from them soon, so keep those fingers crossed for us!
We have recently employed two new Community Officers as we expand our work into the village of Rakops, which lies to the south of our camp and so there will be more famers requiring our help and access to equipment.
We look forward to updating you on the installation process and the difference the container will make to our lives here in camp. If you want to hear about more of our work in the field, helping the communities and researching elephants. We do have an irregular newsletter that you can sign up for here https://www.elephantsforafrica.org/about-elephants-for-africa/communication/newsletter/, just head on down to the very bottom of the page.
Best wishes
