Project Report | Mar 30, 2026
Back to School Season

By Elianne Kremer | Head of Donors Relations

ÁNIMA is nearing a major milestone with the completion of ÁNIMA Campus, a space designed to support students in learning, personal growth, and future career development. Over the past 10 years, 847 students have passed through ÁNIMA, gaining access to real opportunities. With 84% of the fundraising goal already reached and only $78,000 USD remaining, this initiative is not just about building infrastructure—it is about expanding the impact of a model that is already transforming students’ life trajectories.

This impact is reflected in the outcomes of recent graduates. The 2021 and 2022 cohorts include 89 graduates (41 in Administration and 48 in ICT), showing continued growth in program reach. However, important challenges persist, particularly in gender equity within ICT, where only 23% of graduates (11 out of 48) are women.

Employment outcomes highlight both progress and gaps. Among female ICT graduates, 5 are employed (3 in quality jobs with growth opportunities and 2 in roles without advancement), 4 are seeking work, and 2 are not working. While male graduates show similar patterns, they also face additional vulnerabilities such as informal employment and recent layoffs.

Encouragingly, some graduates are already accessing high-quality opportunities aligned with their training. Two women are working as web developers in companies such as Evertec and Neocoast, while another is employed in education. At the same time, others remain in roles with limited growth or outside their field, underscoring the importance of continuing to strengthen pathways into quality employment.

Together, these results reinforce why completing ÁNIMA Campus matters: it will enable more students—especially those facing structural barriers—to not only access education, but also transition successfully into meaningful and sustainable careers.
