Dear friends of AMC,
Thanks to your support, AMC in cooperation with UNFPA in Kosovo and other relevant stakeholders has established the program on Cervical Cancer Screening in the municipality of Mitrovica, Pristina and Prizren in the Republic of Kosovo.
As we have erarlier informed you, during this year we aim to expand this program in the municapility of Peja, but due to the COVID-19 some activities have been postponed. Currently, we are working on completing the Pathology Laboratory in Peja with needed medical equipment to read the PAP tests.
Even though it is pandemic time, we are working hard to make sure that women living in Peja will have access to healthcare servces and free screening by the end of this year.
This program, through Pap tests for women and girls in these three municipalities will help the early detection of abnormal cervical cells and their treatment to prevent cervical cancer.
Your donations are gratefully appreciated and will be used to continue improving the health of women in Kosovo.
