Age Action recently expanded our Care & Repair programme nationwide which involved purchasing new vans, recruiting new maintenance employees and admin staff. Following this expansion, we are receiving an increase in referrals for hospital discharges all over the country so we are kept very busy.
The new Care & Repair presence in Donegal is really gathering pace and the number of jobs completed for older people are increasing week by week. We are now preparing to work with some of our corporate volunteers to organise some Garden Blitz events over the summer in Dublin and Galway and we expect a busy summer ahead.
