It's started off as a busy year for us again with Care and Repair nationally. To date in 2024 our Maintenance team and volunteers have completed 190 jobs in our Eastern Region. The rest make up over 850 jobs that have been completed so far, this year, in Cork, Galway, and Donegal regions. That makes it over 1,000 jobs and counting.
From furniture moving to installing grab rails, our dedicated teams help to keep older people at home in comfort and safety. Everyday we receive feedback about how the service is making people's lives easier and we strive to help more.
On the Corporate front, Age Action Ireland are thrilled to announce a corporate partnership with Bluebird Care Ireland. Bluebird Care is one of Ireland's leading health and social care providers and has been a great supporter of Age Action in the past and we are delighted to reestablish this relationship.
We are also in the process of planning Garden Blitzes for the summer with some of our other corporate partners, where in one day we will send teams to weed, strim, mow and clean up older peoples' gardens across the city.
