This pandemic has showed us that education is vital as many children today cannot go to school. As many of you know, we had to suspend classes at our daycare and preschool to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and families.
Thankfully, our preschool program continued through distance learning. Teachers prepared weekly tools and resources to implement educational activities. Parents were provided with materials, calendars, and teaching tips to ensure our students were still learning. This means that parents had to dedicate their time to educating their children instead of working.
Because of your donations we made sure CILA families didn't have to worry about losing their monthly income to buy basic needs like food and cleaning materials and could focus on the education of their children.
The first five years of a child’s life can have a serious impact on their overall development down the road. We want to ensure the consequences of this pandemic will not affect our students' futures.
With your continued support we will provide our students with excellent education through distance learning while supporting our families basic needs to do so - keeping everyone safe.
We will keep everyone posted on our progress and reopening of the daycare as soon as we can.
Stay Healthy!
Rachel
