A Great Start to 2025

To our dear supporters and friends,

What a great start we've had to the year, with more visitors (it has been way too many years since we have been able to say that!). It seems Cambodia is back on people's tourist destination list, and we've had visits from dancers, rappers and volunteers coming to teach, visit or just connect in person. Our students had so much fun with French volunteer, Amaury Mayaya, who came to teach some dance classes when he was in Cambodia earlier this year (picture attached).

In March we celebrated International Women's Day and were thrilled to join Fem Fest, (Female Empowerment Festival) as part of Phnom Penh Fest. With our many talented female students, we wanted to celebrate them and continue to be supportive of our students achieving the goals they want. No limits!

In more good news: We’re delighted to announce that we are one of six international organizations shortlisted for this year’s HackMusic 2025 Program. The program supports grassroots and emerging organisations across the globe affected by conflict, climate change and social injustice. Fingers crossed we go all the way.

All of this is thanks to your continued support that allows us to keep going. Over the next few months we will also move locations to somewhere more affordable and that helps the money go even further. Our Chba Ampoev centre has been good to us for a whopping thirteen years. After Covid the rent increased as our funds decreased, so we have decided to move on. We are excited for our next chapter and promise to keep you informed.

In separate news, for any Minnesota folks - If you live in Minneapolis we will be having an in-person celebration and fundraiser, Sat May 17th, 12pm-3pm, hosted by our amazing team of local US Board Members. Come and connect and have fun. We'd love to see you at Crooners Supper Club, 6161 Highway NE. (Flyer attached).

Lastly, if you have not yet got your hands on our latest book, Hip Hop & Hope - A memoir of my time at Tiny Toones as the General manager, then please grab your (paperback, ebbok and audio) copy HERE. 50% of all proceeds go back to the centre.

Much love and appreciation,

Romi, KK and the Tiny Toones family.
