Child Development Centre for 180 Children Uganda

Dear friends,

From our previous report we are still raising fund to continue with the construction of the children's hospital in Miroi.

So far the we are still at the foundation level of the build with the back filling of the foundation done. We have 165 bags of cement already paid for( an equivalent of $1,595).

Also visited the children during the study term; our main objective was to do school monitoring and ascertain the progress of the children academically, children are gradually improving academically compared before ,the common complaint was coldness during morning hours and lack of bags for handling books and rain interferes

Participants were also supported with the scholastic materials that is to say books, pens as campaign to enable them attend classes and participate in writing.

CHALLENGES & RECOMMENDATION

• Neglect of caregivers in their responsibility to care for children-more teachings on parenting
• Hunger affecting most families -Sensitize caregivers on cultivation.

Gifts currently go to establish this health facility because we spend 70% of the our budget to this children on health, we feel if the health facility is put in place this will reduce on the burden and also increase our coverage to support more children.
