Child Sexual Abuse Prevention/Education

Since the start of the school year, Fair Haven's Prevention and Education Department has been busy presenting crucial child sexual abuse prevention education in schools all over Northwest Indiana. Their presentation calendar for the school year is completely booked, and more schools reach out every day inviting them to speak. The prevention department has its work set out for them this year, and they could not be more excited about it!

Research and data show that child sexual abuse can be prevented through education. Fair Haven has different age-appropriate curriculums that they utilize in schools, all of which center around the concept of empowerment. Fair Haven believes that by empowering children with education and tools, sexual abuse can be prevented. They also reinforce the concepts covered by giving out empowering bracelets to children who receive the program, which say "my body belongs to me".
