This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the strength of women like Ramila, who work tirelessly to support their families.
Ramila, from a small village in Rajasthan, is the only earning member of her family. With her husband unable to work due to mental health issues, she takes care of their three daughters on her small income as a labourer. With no one at home, she had no choice but to take her younger daughters to work with her.
Everything changed when she learned about the Balwadi (Day Care). She enrolled her daughters, giving them a safe space to learn and play while she worked. Even when she worried about the one-hour gap between the Balwadi closing and her work ending, the Caretaker stepped in to help, caring for the girls until she could pick them up.
Now, Ramila can focus on earning without worrying about her children. This simple support has made a huge difference in her life.
This change wouldn’t be possible without you. Your support gives women like Ramila the chance to work, earn, and build a better future for their children. When we empower women, we strengthen families and communities.
Thank you for being part of this journey and for celebrating women’s strength with us this International Women’s Day!
