Mobile Team for Children with Cancer

Dear friends and supporters, 

Our Mobile Team for Children with Cancer has been working very diligently in delivering goods and services in the past three months. We have reached many children and families affected by cancer across Bosnia and Herzegovina and provided the following services:

• psychosocial visits and evaluations
• social and humanitarian relief packages
• medical equipment and/or devices
• support upon return from intensive hospital treatment abroad
• funerals and funeral services
• psychological support to bereaved parents and families
• measure taking for medical wigs

The last quarter of 2021 has been marked with the long-awaited holiday season for which we prepared a heap of holiday gifts and delivered them to more than 400 children affected by cancer and their siblings across Bosnia and Herzegovina. We have literally dispatched holiday gifts to every corner of our country. With these gifts we came closer to each and every child and witnessed how collaboration and a lot of enthusiasm can help them feel loved. Being able to see the children’s smiles, full of joy when the packages arrive and when they open them, warms our hearts.

Furthermore, our Team prepared and delivered a BIG HOLIDAY donation to the Clinic for Children's Diseases of the University Medical Center Tuzla ♥ The donation contains valuable and much-needed medical supplies for the treatment of children such as a blood pressure monitor, infusion pump, perfusion pump, anti-decubitus pillow and mattresses. This donation also included a large supply of hygiene necessities and consumables.

Thank you for supporting us during these difficult, pandemic times. We know there are a lot of other ways you could have spent this money, so we feel privileged that you chose to invest in our work. You are now part of our community and we're honored to have you.

Dear friends and supporters, 

Our Mobile Team for Children with Cancer keeps working very diligently in the field. We have reached many children and families affected by cancer. We have made 14 field visits and reached more than 60 family members across Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond, in particular in cities of Zenica, Sarajevo, Ljubuški, Jajce, Fojica, Zivinice, and Tuzla. In a special visit abroad, our team visited 6 children and their families currently being treated in Turkey.

The Mobile Team provided the following services:

• psychosocial visits and evaluations
• social and humanitarian relief packages
• donation of medical equipment and/or devices
• on site support during the treatment abroad (Turkey)
• psychological support to bereaved parents and families
• measure taking and donation of medical wigs
• furniture donation
• medical transportation within Bosnia and Herzegovina
• support to Children's Clinic in Tuzla
