Dear friends and supporters,
Our Mobile Team for Children with Cancer keeps working very diligently in the field. We have reached many children and families affected by cancer. We have made 10 field visits and reached more than 40 family members across Bosnia and Herzegovina, in particular in cities of Zenica, Prusac, Bugojno, Jablanica, Koprivna - Cazin, Izacic - Bihac, City of Bihac, Banja Luka and Trebevic. The Mobile Team provided the following services:
This period has been marked with a lot of loss. When a child dies, it simply does not make any logical sense. Parents do not expect to outlive our children. It is not the normal way of things. Suddenly, all the promise of that young life has gone. The sadness and grief can be overwhelming and parents feel as if nobody understands their pain.
Our Mobile team offers various forms of psychological and emotional help to bereaved parents and families, helping them deal with the death of their child from cancer after months or years of debilitating treatment, emotional swings, and financial difficulties.
Thank you for supporting us during these difficult, pandemic times. We know there are a lot of other ways you could have spent this money, so we feel privileged that you chose to invest in our work. You are now part of our community and we're honored to have you.
