Night to Shine 2025

By Tim Holmes | Operations Coordinator

One of the most anticipated moments in our Haiti disability programme each year is Night to Shine—a global prom event dedicated to honouring children with disabilities. In partnership with the Tim Tebow Foundation, this year’s celebration was no exception. Over 100 children and their caregivers attended and experienced an unforgettable evening filled with joy, recognition, and celebration. Each child had the opportunity to dress up, receive a crown and flowers, walk the red carpet, and dance the night away with music, food, and community.

Some of the attending children were from HHA’s Maison de Grace respite home, while many others came from communities in and around Cap-Haïtien and beyond. For many participants—some of whom rarely leave their homes due to stigma or mobility challenges—this night meant far more than a party. It was a rare and powerful moment of inclusion and affirmation. The atmosphere was filled with smiles, laughter, and a deep sense of belonging. Parents and caregivers saw their children not only welcomed but also celebrated as royalty—reminding everyone that every child deserves to be seen, valued, and respected.

The event highlighted the importance of inclusion and the strength of community support. It was made possible through the dedication of volunteers, local partners, and generous supporters. Night to Shine 2025 was more than an evening of fun—it was a celebration that created lasting memories for every child, family, and team member involved.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Tim Tebow Foundation for continuing to support this incredible event in Haiti. We look forward to creating more of these joyful, empowering experiences for children with disabilities in the years to come.
