During the past year we have reached 69 boys and girls. We have 7 centers open in 6 locations in Girona. During the project, 22 volunteers has participated.
Due to the situation generated by the Covid-19 pandemic, it has been necessary to reformulate the project. From March 12, 2020, the face-to-face activity indicated by the Department of Health and the Generalitat de Catalunya was canceled, communicating the situation to the families and recalling all the security and protection measures.
To solve this, we offered the opportunity to adapt the project in an on-line format, and each locality adapted the project according to its resources. Offering the opportunity to adapt face-to-face sessions in virtual format, offering educational resources and basic necessities such as school supplies or snacks.
During the summer only 1 locality has developed the project in person.
As of today we have 6 localities adhering to the project and the task during this month is to summon families to register for the activity and review the COVID protocols between the Red Cross and the schools to be able to start the activity safely for this course.
