Dear Supporters,
Access to clean and safe drinking water is one of the most basic needs every family should be able to meet without fear, hardship, or long journeys. Yet many rural communities in Nigeria continue to face serious water challenges. Families may depend on distant streams, shallow wells, seasonal water sources, or other sources that may not provide reliable and safe water throughout the year.
Our Clean Water & Wells project aims to change this reality for 5,000 rural villagers by supporting sustainable water infrastructure, including boreholes, water-point rehabilitation, appropriate pumping systems, hygiene education, and community-led management.
Clean water is much more than a development service. It is a foundation for public health, education, dignity, and economic opportunity. When families can access safe drinking water closer to home, women and girls can spend less time collecting water. Children can have more time for school, study, rest, and play. Families can also devote more time to farming, small businesses, and other livelihoods.
The project will place community participation at the center of implementation. Local stakeholders will be involved in identifying needs, supporting water-point management, and promoting responsible use and maintenance.
Your support can help turn a basic necessity into a lasting community asset. A donation of any size contributes to the larger goal of reaching 5,000 rural villagers with safer and more reliable water access.
Together, we can help make clean water a reality for communities that need it most.
Best wishes,
Empower Future Initiative Team
