Dear Partners,
Children need clean water to support healthy daily routines at home and in their communities. Yet many children living in underserved rural areas continue to grow up in environments where safe water is not always easy to access.
Our project aims to provide improved access to clean and sustainable water for 5,000 rural villagers in Nigeria. The initiative will support boreholes, water-point rehabilitation, pumping solutions, hygiene education, and community-led management.
For children, the impact of water access can reach far beyond drinking. Safe water supports handwashing, personal hygiene, food preparation, household cleanliness, and healthier community environments. When water-related illness disrupts family life, children may miss school or have fewer opportunities to learn and participate.
Improving water access can also reduce the amount of time families spend searching for water. This is especially important for girls who may otherwise be expected to assist with household water collection.
We believe every child deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, and dream without being held back by a lack of basic services.
The project will work with communities to promote ownership and responsible management of water infrastructure. Local participation is essential because water systems must continue serving communities long after the initial installation.
Your donation can help make this vision possible. Whether you contribute $10, $25, $100, or more, your support becomes part of a collective effort to improve clean water access.
Five thousand villagers represent thousands of individual stories, hopes, and opportunities. By supporting this project, you can help create healthier conditions in which children and families can thrive.
Thank you for believing that clean water should be available to every community.
Best wishes,
Empower Future Initiative Team
