Over the past few months, your generous support has helped bring new hope and lasting change to families in Surkhet District, Nepal. For many, daily life once meant long, exhausting trips to distant water sources and unreliable access to electricity. But now, thanks to the power of solar energy and clean water solutions, lives are quietly transforming.
One mother recently shared how the solar-powered water pump installed near her home has made an incredible difference. Instead of walking hours each day to fetch water, she now spends that time caring for her children and tending to her small vegetable garden — a new source of food and income for her family.
In local health clinics, the arrival of solar power means vaccines and essential medicines are stored safely, protecting the health of mothers and young children. The flicker of lights in the evenings allows students to study after dark and local entrepreneurs to keep their small businesses running, fostering growth and opportunity.
Of course, the journey hasn’t been without challenges. Limited funding has slowed our ability to reach more households and clinics in urgent need. But even in these moments, your ongoing support reminds us that every step forward is possible.
Looking ahead, we are committed to expanding these solar-powered water systems and energy solutions, reaching more families who dream of a better, healthier future. Your continued partnership is crucial to turning these dreams into reality.
And there’s an opportunity to make your support go even further — GlobalGiving’s Bonus Day on July 16–17 will enable donations between $100 and $1,000 to share in a special Incentive Fund. It’s a chance to double the impact of your generosity and help more communities in Nepal access clean water and reliable energy.
Thank you for walking this journey with us. Together, we’re lighting the way to a brighter tomorrow.
With deep gratitude,
The Action Change Team
