Because of your generosity, exciting progress is happening in Adaklu Dawanu!
After months of water scarcity, the community’s water project is now underway. The old borehole is being repaired, and a brand-new, deeper borehole has been drilled. This new borehole will reach water even during the driest months of the year, ensuring families and students have reliable access all year long.
For years, when the borehole failed, children and families relied on the Dawa River for drinking, cooking, and bathing. This meant a 30-minute round trip to collect untreated water, water also used by livestock. The health risks were real, and the burden fell heavily on women and children.
Now, hope is rising.
Soon, students at Adaklu Dawanu Salvation Army Basic School students will no longer have to leave campus to search for water. Families will no longer depend on unsafe sources. Clean, safe water will flow right in their community.
Your support is transforming daily life in Dawanu. You are helping protect children’s health, strengthen education, and restore dignity.
Thank you for making clean water a reality.
Together, we are building a healthier future.
