“Without health, life is not life; it is only a state of languor and suffering.” --- The Buddha
This truth explains why Trailblazer Foundation’s first priority is the health of our partner communities. In Cambodia’s Siem Reap province, where we work, water-borne diseases are the greatest threat to health.
Our health program focuses on providing clean water to families and villages. This includes digging wells to access water, and constructing bio-sand water filters to purify it. Additionally, we work with our partner villages to build latrines, a critical step in improving the hygiene and sanitation of our rural communities.
By the end of 2015, Trailblazer Foundation, in conjunction with our Cambodian affiliate Trailblazer Angkor, will have drilled 66 new wells (which provide water for 3-5 families each), constructed 420 new water filters (typically one per household), and delivered 2660 boxes of PUR (a quick results water purification solution). Also, we built new latrines for 62 families in five villages.
Your support during 2015 helped make these significant accomplishments possible, and we thank you for your generosity. Your financial support enables us work with our partner villages to move them from surviving to thriving.
