The Sundarbans is the single largest mangrove forest in the world. Sundarbans coastal region is climatically vulnerable due to its' geographic location. People of this region are not well knowledgeable on how to reduce disaster risk, minimize loss and damage and adapt with changed climate. We would like to train up NGO workers and Union Disaster Management Committee members on disaster risk assessment, activities of pre, during and post disaster, signaling and climate change adaptation through our proposed project. To do so, the organization is trying to get fund from the donors; because, without their assistance it is not possible for us to run the project for the betterment of the people. The total budget of the project is $ 50,000. Unfortunately we couldn’t raise any fund so far. We have already shared this news with the local community that we are trying to raise fund for the mentioned activity although we have raised nothing so far. We expect to raise the total fund for this project 2020. This is our heartiest appeal to the donors, please come forward and reduce the climate vulnerability of the Sundarbans coastal people.
