Very Severe Cyclonic Storm Yash was a relatively strong and highly damaging tropical cyclone that made landfall on 26 May 2021 in the Sundarbans coastal region and brought huge significant impacts. A massive economic loss occurred due to the recent cyclone Yash. Luckily no life hazard has been reported so far. BEDS staffs together with Village Disaster Management Committee (VDMC) members have started working 7 days before attacking the cyclone to mitigate the loss and damage due to the cyclone.

VDMC members went door to door to aware people and during the hazard, they helped people to reach them at BEDS ‘Cyclone Shelter and Training Center’. BEDS provided cooked food to the people who stayed at the ‘Cyclone Shelter and Training Center’. Due to this preparedness, no life loss happened during this catastrophic cyclone. The local community thanked BEDS and VDMC members for their support and cooperation

We are extremely grateful to our donors for their continuous support. We would like to request all our donors to start monthly recurring donations for our project. We are requesting all our donors to start monthly recurring donations. Please click the following link;
