The Bangladeshi coastal population is unable to engage in year-round agriculture or crop production. The monsoon season determines how many crops may be grown in the coastal region of Bangladesh. They must therefore buy food for the remainder of the year. By implementing several integrated socioeconomic development strategies, BEDS is trying to increase the resilience of coastal communities. There are currently 18 Munda families residing in a cramped location in the Mundapara village, which is the community refugee. Since the majority of them are seasonal employees, they are unemployed the rest of the year. Around their homes, which have very little space, BEDS has motivated them to practice integrated polyculture, where they raise seasonal vegetables and poultry. However, the initiative requires further development, more expansion, and training.
