The Climate Education Program for 300 Students in Bauchi State is currently progressing through its preparatory phase. The project team has commenced coordination with selected schools and facilitators, while developing climate education materials and planning interactive sessions that will help students understand climate change, environmental protection, tree planting, waste management, and sustainable practices.
Financially, the project remains significantly underfunded. The total project goal is $3,200, while the current GlobalGiving record shows $0 raised, leaving the full $3,200 funding requirement outstanding. This limited financial support has slowed the implementation and prevented the project from moving into full-scale student activities. Funding is urgently needed to provide learning materials, support facilitators, establish student climate clubs, procure tree seedlings and gardening tools, and conduct monitoring and impact assessment.
Despite the funding gap, the project team remains committed to implementation and has continued preparatory activities. With adequate donor support, the program can proceed to reach the targeted 300 students and equip them with practical knowledge and skills to become climate-conscious leaders and advocates within their schools and communities.
