Dear Friend,
Because of your support, we are able to create opportunities for millions of young people to learn and create using digital technologies across the globe. We appreciate your partnership in developing a place where young people from all backgrounds can thrive in our digital world.
In many parts of the world, autumn brings with it the start of a new school year for students. In a recent blog post, we share some of the support we provide to help Dojos return from a break. From helping to secure volunteers to ensuring Dojos are accessible for all, we know how important it is to have the tools and resources needed to build a lifelong interest in learning computing and digital making skills.
We’ve been busy working to create new coding activities and projects for young people. We introduced a set of activities to help coding clubs celebrate World Space Week and shared our ‘Learn to Program in Python’ online course pathway.
We are delighted to share our 2021 Annual Report with you. In this, we outline our accomplishments from 2021 and dive into each of our three long-term goals:
Education
To enable any school to teach students about computing and how to create with digital technologies, through providing the best possible curriculum, resources, and training for teachers.
Non-formal learning
To engage millions of young people in learning about computing and how to create with digital technologies outside of school, through online resources and apps, clubs, competitions, and partnerships with youth organisations.
Research
To deepen our understanding of how young people learn about computing and how to create with digital technologies, and to use that knowledge to increase the impact of our work and advance the field of computing education.
The impacts we highlight through our Annual Report are possible because of your dedication to our mission and the young people we serve. We are grateful for your continued commitment to this cause.
We appreciate your continued support of the CoderDojo community!
With gratitude,
Jana
