The Winter is Over, But More Refugees are on Their Way to Diyarbakir
This winter was warmer more refugees this year with the support of generous donors to our campaign. Starting from the most vulnerable refugee, based on previously conducted assessments, Support to Life was able to reach out to many with this campaign. The shopping started in Diyarbakr in the month of February this year and continued till the end of the month.
Thank you for hekping us to reach out to people who are in need!
Now that winter is over and the weather is warmer, it is not as challenging for the Syrian refugees who continues to stay in weak housings again with minimal equipment, nor for the Yazidi Refugees staying in the tents built on wooden pallets. However, now that Batman Yazidi Camp is closed, refugees moved to Diyarbakr Fidanlik Camp for shelter.
Support to Life Team aims to contribute to improving the lives of the crisis-affected Yazidi refugee population by strengthening the coping mechanisms, physical, psychological and social well-being of Syrian and Yazidi refugees focusing on women and children in Diyarbakr through a variety of community based psychosocial support.
Unfortunately, there has not been a decision made for the favor of displaced refugees. The winter may be over this year; however, more refugees migrate to Turkey and the need raises every single day. The more people we have supporting this campaign, we will be more prepared to help more refugees next winter.
