Give at-risk Colombian children a safe home

Dear friends,  

As we close this year's work, we wish you a very fruitful 2023. We are very grateful and happy to continue with your support in the work we do for the benefit of the formation and education of the almost 500 children, adolescents and young people we care for in our homes. Thanks to your help, this year we were able to intensify the work of strengthening the competencies of the families, with the objective of teaching them practices for the construction of good treatment contexts and guiding them in a reflective process on how they can create a positive and affective environment, which guarantees a successful reintegration of the children into their homes.

It was also a year in which they overcame many difficult situations that left us 2022 at the Nuevo Amanecer site. From the intervention level we achieved greater stability in the children, and consequently less evasions. They seemed very happy because with your donations we were able to fulfill many of their wishes such as more recreational activities outside the house, a tastier and more varied diet and undoubtedly the change of school mode to Home schooling which significantly improved their performance.

One of our greatest achievements has been the good results of the academic process of our 126 primary school, 139 high school and 23 university students. All of them successfully completed their terms of education with average grades.

You make an important contribution to transforming the lives of children who come to our programmes in situations of vulnerability that hinder their healthy development.
