Thank you for joining us on this special day, a special day honoring those who are giving! .
With your collaboration and that of those who joined us on this GivingTuesday, we were able to raise USD $9,842 from 23 donors, plus a $1,738 incentive from GlobalGiving, for a total of USD $11,580, wich is fantastic for our children in need, and is a guarantee of a start in 2025 with their needs met.
We want to tell you that due to a new law went into effect in California called CA AB 488 which is requiring GlobalGiving to update some of their donation and disbursement policies, GlobalGiving is required to allow donors to decide how their personal information is shared with nonprofits. The new default option is set to “Donate anonymously” and we are not be able to see the donor’s name or email address for donors who keep that option in our Donation manager. For that reason, many of your generous contributions that normally appear with your names and emails, were registered this GivingTuesday on the platform as anonymous donors, with the difficulty that this entails to thank each one as we usually do.
For future opportunities, we recommend that you select the "Share my contact" option when donating, if you are comfortable doing so. If you prefer to donate anonymously, please choose the option "Donate anonymously". At checkout, the donor has the option to select “Share my contact information.”
