Fighting violence against children in France

Key Facts

• 97 workshops were held to raise awareness among 1,003 pupils aged 6 to 18 about their rights.
• 68 educational staff took part in these workshops.
• 79 children participated in our drawing competition held on November 20, 2022 to mark World Children's Day. The theme was to identify the safe places and risks while using the Internet and social media.
• 2 parents' cafés were organised for 40 parents to discuss the risks and dangers of their children using screens and the Internet.
• The Youth Advocates aged 13-14 took part in an eloquence activity to learn how to express themselves in public.
• 7 Youth Advocates were involved in the Defender of Rights' consultation on how to ensure better respect for children's rights to leisure, culture and sport.

"I first chose CAMELEON for its expertise in children's rights and, in particular, the violence suffered by children. During my civic service, I had two main tasks: to coordinate actions in schools by working with small groups of children; and to help develop prevention tools tailored to different age groups and educational objectives.
