In our ongoing mission to eradicate Gender-Based Violence (GBV), we hosted a transformative mental health training session for women and girls. This gathering was not only an educational opportunity—it was a sacred holding space, where trauma was named, truth was spoken, and silence was met with solidarity.
The session laid a critical cornerstone for a broader vision: the construction of a Women’s Healing and Justice Centre—a physical sanctuary that merges trauma-informed care, leadership development, and anti-GBV action under one roof.
This session affirmed what we already knew: women and girls need a permanent space—designed for them, by them—where healing, leadership, and justice intersect. The envisioned Centre will: Provide trauma-informed mental health services Offer leadership development and civic education House legal aid and survivor advocacy Serve as a hub for anti-GBV campaigns and grassroots mobilization Include safe housing, counselling rooms, and rest areas
:Healing as Infrastructure This wasn’t just a training. It was a turning point. Healing is not a luxury—it is infrastructure. It is policy. It is survival. When we build spaces of healing, we create the foundation for peace, dignity, and power. . Call to Action We invite partners, donors, community leaders, and citizens to support the next phase—the physical construction of the Women’s Healing and Justice Centre. Let’s co-create a space where: Daughters grow into leaders Survivors become advocates Healing becomes justice
