Coach Development Update

By David Mulo | Executive Director

Green-Kenya proudly recognizes the progress and impact of Coach Gona, whose dedication continues to inspire young players within our academy and across our community programs.

Coach Gona completed the Football Kenya Federation introductory coaching training, an important step in strengthening his technical expertise and leadership capacity. This certification reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in qualified coaches who can deliver structured, high-quality training to young athletes.

The impact of this achievement extends beyond personal development. Through his enhanced skills, Coach Gona is improving the quality of training sessions, fostering discipline, and creating a supportive environment where young players can grow both in football and in life. His mentorship plays a critical role in building confidence, teamwork, and resilience among participants, many of whom come from underserved communities.

At Green-Kenya Football, we believe that empowering coaches is key to sustainable youth development. By equipping mentors like Coach Gona with the right tools and knowledge, we are strengthening our ability to nurture talent, promote positive values, and provide safe, structured opportunities for young people.

We are proud of Coach Gona’s achievement and remain committed to supporting his continued growth. His journey represents the broader impact of our programs, developing not only better players, but stronger, more confident individuals who can contribute positively to their communities.
