Project Report | Oct 15, 2018
The end of year event

By Shoghik Mikayelyan | Executive Director

Through August to October Nor Luyce has summed up the program year. The program year was closed with a big event. During the event, all the computers of the resource center have been used.

One of the mentor-mentee matches initiated a power-point presentation about the activities of Nor Luyce and what they gained during the one year they were in the program.

Overall the resource center was used for 102 hours.

One of the mentees reported: “Nor Luyce has become a place where I feel comfortable enough to express my ideas and feel relaxed, a place where I have gained a lot of knowledge. Now I can say that I stand out in the classroom and among my friends with my computer skills knowledge. Now Luyce gave me a number of important life skills that I will be able to use all my life.”

Mentees of the organization have realized volunteer work for 97 hours and helped the staff in organizing and realizing year-end event.

One of our previous mentees, who is serving as a mentor in the organization, had reported being recognized by her supervisor as a good practicum student who has a number of skills. She reported the importance of being a part of Nor Luyce has played a big role in her internship.

Along with the computer skills, the mentees have also learned about the following topics: “Communication skills”, “Team work” and “Time management”. During all these meetings, the mentees not only gained new knowledge but also navigated through the internet to find information about different topics and skills, thus using their computer skills.
