One day a parent visited our organization asking to include her 15-year-old daughter in our program. However, her daughter was over the age to be involved in the Mentoring Phase. But the mother was insisting to give the daughter an opportunity. So we decided to involve her in our Skill Building Phase. As Aneta says: "During these three months I have learned a lot and gained a number of skills. I know how to write research paper, make Power-point presentations. I know how to give a presentation using the skills learned in the training "public speaking". The most important thing is that I gained not only skills and knowledge but also a lot of friends. I spend a great time with all of them."
In the program, the mentees learn not only computer skills but also a number of other skills, such as communication skills, teamwork, time management, navigate safely in the internet, public speaking, etc. They not only learn all these skills but they also had a chance to practice the learned skills.
The mentees chose topics of their interest, wrote a research paper on that. Later they made power-point presentations based on those topics, thus using all the gained knowledge and skills.
