Dear donor,
Below are our latest news about our computer coding project since our last report:
We have started courses in new locations: Avclar CYDD branch, SAGEM Istinye (Saryer Municipality Youth Center) and SAGEM Ferahevler in Istanbul; Karabaglar Çalkusu Cultural Center, Seferihisar and Fethiye branch in the Aegen region and Samsun 19 Mays branch in the Anatolian region.
During the 2018-2019 fall term, 263 Level 1 students, 123 Level 2 students and 68 Level 3 students benefited from the program and were given certificates.
We have started Level 3 courses teaching mobile applications using the "appinventor" method. If interested and capable, students completing the first 2 courses, can go on to the 3rd level.
We have 118 new volunteer instructors who were trained for level 1 courses. 54 of our existing instructors received level 2 trainings and 19 of them received level 3 trainings.
We have encouraged new branches starting the coding courses to find their own local volunteer intructors among their scholarship university students. This way it will be easier to open new centers in Anatolian cities.
We hope to share with you the second term news in our next report. Until then please stay with us and continue to support our project..
Best regards,
