Dear Donor,
CYDD computer coding courses are now part of the Young Starfish program for high school girls and are carried on-line with volunteer instructors.
Face-to–face courses for the coming school year are being planned with CYDD branches and activity centers. When new branches want to start the program, computers will have to be provided for their coding classrooms for those students who do not have personal computers already given to them by CYDD.
In the earthquake region, the CYDD Samandag Activity Center which held coding courses in a container classroom is being moved to another location allocated by the Samandag Municipality. The coding courses will be held on the weekends in the new location of the center. Some of the volunteer instructors will be traveling from nearby towns.
The Project is carried with volunteer CYDD university students and covers their minimal tranportation and food costs. The computers also need to be repaired or at worst replaced from time to time. We thus need your continued support to enable us to carry on with the Project.
Thank you…
