We are thrilled to share that Kenya Connect has a new mission, vision and strategic plan and a brand new website! After a year-long multi-faceted planning process by the NGO and Non-profit boards, senior leadership and staff, we are excited to share our new look, vision and mission. The strategic plan will guide our work as we prepare students for the 21st century.
In a nutshell, Kenya Connect’s vision is an empowered rural community that learns, grows and thrives together. We accomplish this through working with 18,000 students, 500 teachers and parents at 71 partner government schools. Our mission is to ensure rural children leave education with options by developing the skills, values and pathways to thrive. Our locally led team accomplishes the mission through programs in six focus areas: ensuring that students are staying In-school; offering teacher professional development so they can provide Quality Education; providing access to books and programs promoting Literacy for learners, teachers and parents; offering a robust array of Technology programs to bridge the digital divide, creating Empowerment programs to nurture confident learners and keep them safe; and ensuring that all our programs lead to creating Pathways. Simply put, we are working to provide children with options.
We invite you to visit our dynamic website to learn more about our work and the six focus areas. We also encourage you to watch our new Kenya Connect Video! You can read stories and testimonials about our work, learn about our theory of change and see how you can get involved.
As a GlobalGiving donor, we want to thank you for your generous support and friendship! We would love to hear what you think of our new look!
