At AAFE, we are delighted to share that you, our wonderful donors, continue to transform the lives of our online learners.
We have 24 young women learning English through our online classes, and despite the Taliban’s harsh restrictions on girls’ education and work your support has helped bring hope to many and brought about positive change!
Most recently, our learners have been focusing on speaking, grammar, and reading comprehension. Their teacher, Khatera, is incredibly happy to report that her students are making great progress, especially in pronunciation and confidence in speaking. Just the other week, program participants showed off their newfound skills by giving class presentations on the topic of Women in Afghanistan. You can see some of their presentations in the videos below!
One online learner shared her appreciation for her English classes.
“I want to learn English so I can become a doctor,” she explained. “I want to help people in my community.”
Her words reflect the shared dreams and ambitions of girls across the nation.
“English will help me get a good job and support my family,” another young woman shared. “Learning English helps me understand the world better and gives me more confidence.”
Thanks to your generosity, we have been able to provide the next generation with English classes, investing in education, and a more peaceful world for all. With your continuing help, we can expand our program and reach even more learners.
