Online English and Computer Classes for Girls

Dear Family and Friends

Even as schools in Afghanistan remain shut to girls beyond sixth grade, Aid Afghanistan for Education (AAFE) continues to open doors to learning through our online English classes. For many of our students, these classes are more than lessons, they are a source of hope, confidence, and connection to the wider world. Each day, they prove that education cannot be silenced, and that the dream of a brighter future is still alive.

Over the past months, girls in our online classrooms have shown remarkable progress. They practice reading, writing, listening, and speaking, and many can now introduce themselves, hold conversations, and write essays with growing confidence. In their own words: “When I learn English, I feel I can reach beyond the walls around me.”

Sadly, due to a lack of funding, we have had to pause our computer classes. The girls were eager to continue, but with your renewed support, we believe we can bring them back, ensuring students not only learn English but also gain vital digital literacy skills for their future.
