Dear Friends,
We would like to start by wishing you a very happy and healthy 2022!
Donations to this project have been slow, we get it, it's not the most urgent sounding project in the world BUT it is needed now more than ever before.
Although Koung Jor Refugee Camp have very much become part of the wider community around them since they arrived in 2002 they have been isolating for much of the past 2 years to keep safe from Covid-19. So far their efforts have paid off with only one family contracting Covid-19.
Being shut off has come at a price, residents can not leave for seasonal work, higher education programmes have been paused and interaction with the wider community has been limited. Having access to our very popular computer classes and being able to use the internet has provided a much needed lifeline to the outside world.
We still need to try reach our project funding goal of £2,034 (we have £1,313 to go!) so we can upgrade the last reamining computers and connect more to the internet. So, if you have donated to this project in the past please consider donating again or even better start a recurring donation. Your support is helping the youth of Koung Jor have a brighter future.
Thank you, we are so grateful for your support!
With kind regards,
The TBF team
