A young boy named Lucas thoughtfully examines his hands while seated in his brand-new pediatric wheelchair during our mobility delivery event in Tucumán, supported by CILSA.
Meet Lucas, an insightful young boy with a boundless imagination. For too long, physical barriers defined Lucas's world, keeping him isolated and dependent entirely on others to move even short distances. His family dreamed of a tool that could unlock his world, but resources were scarce. This quarter, that dream came true. In this image, you see Lucas, with an expression of thoughtful discovery, in his brand-new, customized pediatric wheelchair. For Lucas, this isn't just equipment; this is freedom—the freedom to move independently, to explore, to attend school, and to participate in his community like never before.
Lucas’s story is a powerful example of the profound transformation occurring within our Connect Poor initiative. Working in strong partnership with allied organizations like CILSA, as seen on the background banners of our event space, we have significantly amplified our impact. We are thrilled to report that this quarter, we successfully delivered 95 customized wheelchairs and high-quality mobility devices to children and adults in some of Northern Argentina’s most underserved and vulnerable communities. Each device is carefully tailored to the specific needs of the recipient, ensuring it provides not just mobility, but dignity and true autonomy.
Your continued commitment is the engine driving these life-changing opportunities. When you support Connect Poor, you are not simply donating to a project; you are investing directly in the potential of individuals like Lucas and nearly 1,500 other vulnerable people we are reaching this year across our mobility, active aging, and social support network. By breaking down the fundamental barriers to physical and social inclusion, we are together opening new doors to education, health, and a more equitable society.
Gracias por hacer posibles estos avances y por creer en un mundo donde todos puedan progresar.
