Dear donnors,
Work to transform the visitation space began in early November following the co-design process and the creation of the mural. Approximately 20 incarcerated women received training to carry out wall preparation and painting, a step that is already reshaping the atmosphere of the area. In addition, concrete furniture destined for the play zone and recreational areas has been delivered and is currently being set in place.
The installation of a shade canopy is planned for the coming weeks to provide essential protection in this open-air courtyard. While substantial work remains, the combined impact of the new paint, the community-designed mural, and the canopy is expected to significantly improve the environment for the 200 children who visit their mothers and relatives.
We look forward to sharing further updates in our next report.
Cheers!
