Fatima Memorial Hospital’s community schools have served underprivileged children since 1985 across Lahore’s peri-urban areas (3 formal and 27 informal schools). Girls currently make up only 35% of enrolled students. With your help, we are working to reach 50% girls’ enrollment—and build the pathway to lasting, intergenerational change through education.
Why This MattersPakistan faces one of the world’s largest education gaps: an estimated 22.84 million children are out of school. In primary to higher-secondary, 49% of girls are out of school compared to 40% of boys. Public education spending hovers near 2.4% of GDP, well below stated commitments—leaving families in low-income communities to shoulder costs and cultural barriers that keep girls at home.
What Your Gifts Are DoingThrough the NUR Community Outreach Program (NUR Foundation / Fatima Memorial System), the Adopt-A-Student initiative supports children from Montessori through graduation. Typical sponsorships help fund tuition support, books & stationery, uniforms (including sweaters), school bags, and shoes—removing the practical barriers that keep girls out of classrooms.
Long-Term ImpactThank you for championing girls’ education and for standing with the Fatima Memorial community schools. Your generosity is rewriting futures—one classroom at a time.
