Counselling Help to 20 Suicidal Irish People

As previously mentioned, there have been significant developments happening within our staff.

We are delighted to report that our Counselling Team continues to grow. With two new additional counsellors having come on board, we now have a team of eight.

In May we bid our longest standing Trustee member, Jonathan Goold, a farewell, as he stepped down from his duties after two decades with us here at Hope Trust. We are forever grateful for him and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

We have since, gladly welcomed Priscilla as our new board of Trustees member. With her professional background in social work, her many years of experience and her heart for people, we are very excited to have her on board.

Our CEO, Linda Rowett, has begun handing over to our new Co-Ordination Manager, Anjie Beharry-Cooney and to all Department Heads as she plans to step back and focus on counselling. Anjie will officially resume her position in September and has spent the summer months working together with Linda in making the transition as smooth as possible.

Our social media is continuing to develop, and we plan to broaden our scope in the months ahead.

We are also thrilled to announce that €2,400 was raised at a coffee morning in April and thanks to the kindness and generosity of Z. Zurich Foundation those funds have been matched, making our total raised and incredible €4,400! A special word of thanks to Geraldine McKeogh who hosted and to her team of helpers as well.

Our annual Candle Lit Walk will take place on October 31^st in Athlone. Preparation will commence for this in September.
