Summary
Tamil Nadu and Puducherry is struggling with second wave as you all know; both the governments are facing hardship to meet the high demand of support needed for its people. Even though, the government makes wide range of care and support along with private medical college hospitals, they may not be able to comply with the huge number of people turn to be positive. Due to Covid pandemic, the non-formal workers and employees in private firms lost their work and thereby the families are great financial crisis.
Challenges
In spite of the support from the government to curtail the pandemic, the workers lost their jobs and families are put in to financial crisis. The families are unable to pay the school fee of their children and not able to run their families.
What we are trying to do
Prime Trust, is trying gathering resources to provide dry ration to the poor families which will help them to run the families are few days and support their children with school supplies and to pay the school fee. Prime Trust is also providing sanitary kit, hand wash and sanitizer to the unreached population to safe guard themselves from the pandemic
What we have done so far
Since, last year, Prime Trust was able to support with sanitary kit for more than 2000 people and dry ration for the workers of unorganized sector. Prime Trust collaborated with well-wishers and NGOs in identifying need and provided relief material.
