Prime Trust's Visit to Ottankaduvetti Village: Empowering Communities and Celebrating Women's Day
On March 16th, 2024, the Prime Trust team, accompanied by SPJIMR interns, embarked on an inspiring journey to Ottankaduvetti Village, marking a memorable day of community engagement and celebration.
Amidst the serene surroundings of Ottankaduvetti Village, we witnessed the vibrant spirit and talents of the remarkable women from the Self-Help Groups (SHGs). Our day commenced with a lively rangoli competition, showcasing the artistic prowess of these incredible women. Additionally, a spirited musical chair competition added an extra layer of joy and camaraderie to our festivities, as we celebrated the essence of International Women's Day.
Beyond the festivities, our visit was enriched with insightful discussions on the transformative impact of SHGs. We delved into the financial mechanisms and strategic planning adopted by these groups, witnessing firsthand how they empower themselves and uplift their communities. The resilience and determination exhibited by the members of the SHGs served as a source of inspiration for all of us.
Furthermore, our interaction extended to the bright young minds attending the Evening Remedial Classes facilitated by Prime Trust in the village. Engaging with these students was a poignant reminder of the importance of education in shaping a brighter future for generations to come.
Overall, our visit to Ottankaduvetti Village was a testament to the power of collective action and community empowerment. It reaffirmed our commitment to fostering positive change and creating opportunities for growth and development in every corner of society.
As we reflect on this enriching experience, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the residents of Ottankaduvetti Village for their warm hospitality and unwavering spirit. Together, let us continue to strive for a more inclusive and equitable world, where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
