Dear Supporters,

As we come to the end of 2023, we wanted to share with you the remarkable and impactful work that FundLife has accomplished this year with your generous support.

Over the course of three months, FundLife was able to maintain engagement with an impressive total of 798 children, including 446 boys, 343 girls, and 9 non-binary children. Our play-based learning programs, which were implemented across 16 public schools, two community sites, and a childcare facility, have yielded promising results in both academic performance and character development for the children who participated.

Not only have we been able to continue our ongoing partnerships with various organizations to ensure that the needs of these children are met, but we have also been working hard to build new partnerships with specific groups to expand our reach and impact.

In addition to our regular programs, FundLife has also been spearheading activities geared towards raising awareness about climate change and promoting environmental sustainability. This year, we organized fun runs, workshops on climate change, and plastic recycling initiatives that have been well-received by the community. Through these activities, we hope to empower the youth to take a more active role in protecting the environment and making a positive change in their community.

FundLife has made a significant impact through its initiatives, achieving the following:

  • Facilitated 82 study support sessions that focused on enhancing children's reading and vocabulary abilities. These sessions helped to improve the children's language skills, providing them with a valuable foundation for future educational and personal success.
  • Delivered 110 football development sessions centered on promoting Child Rights, WASH, and Road Safety. Through these sessions, children were not only able to develop their football skills but also gained knowledge and awareness of important social and health issues.
  • Conducted learning needs assessments in 11 schools, providing FundLife with valuable insight into the current educational needs of children during the COVID-19 pandemic. These assessments allowed the organization to adapt its learning approach and support children more effectively.
  • Facilitated two projects and safety orientations with teachers and parents, promoting greater engagement and participation in project implementation. The involvement of adults in the projects helped to ensure their success and sustainability.
  • Organized 9 Mini Champion's League events that brought together the best-performing football players from various locations. These events provided children with additional opportunities to develop their competitive skills and build lasting relationships with their peers.
  • Delivered 18 mentorship sessions that focused on improving children's self-awareness, reproductive health, and mental well-being. These sessions were designed to provide children with important life skills and support their holistic development.
  • Hosted a tournament to showcase the children's progress in the projects. The tournament not only celebrated the children's achievements but also provided an opportunity to promote community engagement and raise awareness of FundLife's work.
  • Students from 16 partner schools participated in organized fun learning festivals. Awards and special prizes were given to the best-performing students and those who demonstrated a good attitude.
  • Conducted four consultation meetings with parents, school teachers, and project recipients to identify areas for improvement in project management. These meetings helped to ensure that FundLife's projects were tailored to the specific needs of the community and were effective in achieving their goals.

Despite the challenges faced last year, including weather disturbances and political events, FundLife remained committed to delivering vital services to those most in need. The team was able to successfully overcome these obstacles through the implementation of effective mitigation measures and strong communication with the local government and the Department of Education.

As we reflect on the past year, it is with great pride that we move forward into the new year with a renewed sense of purpose and determination to make a significant impact in the lives of young children, particularly those who are most vulnerable. We remain steadfast in our resolve to continue working tirelessly to achieve our goals and objectives.

Thank you for your continued support. We couldn't have achieved all of this without you.
