Since the pandemic began in 2020, Health In Harmony has worked to increasingly step up our level of care, thanks to generous supporters like you.
In the past few months, we have been able to provide medical teams in West Kalimantan, Indonesia with oxygen concentrators and tanks, conduct second dose vaccination expeditions in the Xingu River Basin in Brazil, as well as provide vaccinations to communities around the Manombo Forest in Madagascar. This care enables the Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities we work alongside to receive accessible, affordable healthcare and stay in their rainforest homes to continue protecting and regenerating the forests.
We are now facing the newest COVID-19 variant, Omicron, and are preparing all HIH medical teams in Indonesia, Madagascar, and Brazil to provide emergency medical services as needed, in addition to providing regularly scheduled check ups, vaccinations, and care.
Health In Harmony is working quickly to provide teams with new supplies to face the current threat including personal protective equipment (PPE) for medical staff, oxygen, masks for patients and community members, and ensuring transport is prepared for emergency cases.
Thank you for continuing to support Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities through this global pandemic.
