ORG Bahamas is thrilled to have received $354 from generous donors during GlobalGiving's "Giving Tuesday" Campaign. These funds will allow ORG's education volunteers to produce a new free National Playdate at Home online resource.
Inspired by the faith of donors in this project, our volunteers are now working hard to identify and assemble materials and information that parents in marginilized communities across the Bahamas can use foster development in their young children. The digital publication will feature children's stories and songs for parents to stimulate language and learning with their kids. Other proven resources and tools will be offered in easy to use forms so that Parents can easily include them in their day to day interactions. Knowing that investment of effort and resources in the first 1000 days of children will have tangible benefits for the child, the parent and the community, ORG is very excited to see this important program resume.
In the upcoming GlobalGiving Campaigns, ORG will be asking for support to offer three more virtual National Play Date publications in 2023 to families and feature 2 in person National Play Date training programs for parents and their children.
