Following the great news we shared with you previously regarding the expansion of the Women Friendly Services project in 5 new governorates, we successfully implemented the project in the first governorate of the 5.
Sharqia governorate in Egypt is considered one of the most crowded ones with doctors in comparison with its size. Our training bundle is highly needed in order to enhance the capacities of the doctors and nurses on how to offer more services that are friendly to women in the reproductive health and family planning sectors.
Over five days, we delivered two rounds of training to doctors and nurses in the governorates. The training focused on the practical situations they deal with in their daily routine; also, a new component was added to the training on how to deal with girls and women subjected to violence. This new component was the highlight of the training, which was a game specifically designed for the training based on the most recent resources and scientific backgrounds in this field as well as the available referral pathways nationwide: legal, psychological, and social support.
The next phase of the implementation shall cover 4 governorates in Upper Egypt, where we are extremely excited that with your support we will be able to deliver more training rounds to healthcare workers in these governorates where they need the maximum support as they face a major limitation in the resources and the technical support.
We are lucky to have you as a family with whom we share our milestones, and with your continuous support, we believe that we will reach more and more milestones.
