Empower mothers to build their careers

Dear friends, we are happy to report that this time, thanks to your donation, we supported Olga, an entrepreneur mother of two boys, one of whom has a disability. 

The war has brought a lot of challenges to Olga's life. The family's home was damaged during the fighting, and financially, it has been extremely difficult for the family as well, as Olga has to balance motherhood and entrepreneurship during the war. 

Even before the war, it wasn't easy for Olga as she couldn't find employment with flexible hours to take care of her son with disabilities. But the mother of two didn't plan on giving up. She always wanted to be independent and earn an income to provide for her family, and to earn a living, Olga started offering hairdressing services that allowed her a flexible schedule to provide care for her child with disabilities. 

To support Olga, BKC purchased hairdressing supplies - professional shampoo, colours and hair dyes worth UAH 9904 (USD 270.83) - for her venture. The mum of two is an example of resilience and dedication, overcoming difficulties to provide a better life for her children in war circumstances, and we feel proud to support her cause. Olga is very grateful to our donors for this much-needed help. 

As the war continues, the most vulnerable members of our society suffer the most. We would love to be able to continue supporting mums of children with disabilities as they are trying to survive in extreme difficulties.
